The Fiji Food Project

In September 2021, through a partnership with WE-FIJI, The One Billion donated food vouchers to families who were struggling as a result of the recent wave of Covid 19. More than 500 people benefitted from the donation. After the Delta strain entered the small Island in April, the per capita rate of infection became one of the highest in the world among countries with a similar population size. While 80% of adult Fijians are now fully vaccinated, and the number of Covid cases has declined significantly, it has left, in its trail, families without work or the means to sustain themselves.
